Great hotel and service

The hotel is super cute, the design and furniture are to die for. Location is super convenient as well. It might get quite noisy at night, so better to ask for an internal room - although they provide earplugs.

Wonderful little hotel in the best part of Medellin

Wonderful staff and location. Cute rooms and nice terrace.

Make no mistake: this is a noisy area (and I’m a very light sleeper). But I found their soundproofing and the earplugs provided actually worked well enough. Also they make you sign all this stuff like “I will not use prostitutes! I will not use drugs!”on arrival which is just weird. Made me worry I was actually in a dangerous hotel where that is a big problem. And also, why do they care if their guests use drugs or whatever?? Live and let live I say.

Spent NewYears Eve and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great location, right in the heart of venues and restaurants. Excellent staff. I would like to extend my gratitude to Mateo who provided us with so much insights of the area. Thanks to Daniel the bartender who can stir up a wicked cocktail and just a genuine paisa. The rooftop.also offers a stunning view of the city.

It can be noisy depending the room you are offered.

Great stay in a modern boutique hotel, but be aware of noise

The hotel was well placed in El Poblado area and quite close to shops and meet-points for day trips. The area felt quite safe to walk around and there are restaurants and coffee shops to stroll. The staff were really nice and they offered us welcome drinks at the check-in and gifted us chocolates at the check-out. The room had a modern design and was very comfortable. We were extremely lucky as the room was located on the side, and the noise coming into the room from the nightlife was somewhat controlled. However, the hotel were very clear about the noise and area from the check-in and offered ear plus and a white noise machine to facilitate sleep. A bonus that the hotel has L’Occitane products and a hair-dryer! The hotel offers breakfast at the brunch and coffee place at the entrance with a couple of options such as eggs, pancakes etc. As a guest, you have 20% off for the spa services.

Understandably, the hotel is located centrally next to the busy bars and clubs, which means your sleep will be definitely disrupted. If you are a light sleeper this hotel may not be for you. You can always ask for a room at the back/side of the hotel. The bathroom only has an over-head shower, so it’s quite difficult for women with long hair to jump in for a quick shower. If you are an Amex user please be aware that although the hotel on the Booking website states they accept Amex, they actually do not. Their machine rejects the card both physical or contactless. Be prepared to pay a different way. Also, the hotel offers to book a taxi service which supposedly can be paid by card (with a 5% charge) or by cash. We did not have cash and specifically clarified whether card was accepted, only for the driver to drive us for over 30’ around the hotel premises to find a money exchange or ATM.

Fantastic experience due to the location and staff

The staff was exceptional. The location is fantastic. Shopping, restaurants, nightlife.

The location and area really does expose guests to noise. Believe the reviews and the hotel staff/correspondence that the area is loud. Light sleepers beware! Nightlife people enjoy. The hotel provides earplugs and a white noise machine that slightly helps.

Lovely stylish hotel but a little noisy

Stylish rooms, clean and modern. Friendly staff

We knew the rooms were out from the reviews we’d read but not quite that loud. Literally like having a nightclub in your room. Fine if you’re a heavy sleeper but even with earplugs you can still hear the music Also our shower was barely luke warm and we were told the rooms on this side of the property the water is not as hot. We were told to turn it off and on again but this did not work. Not what wanted after a long days travelling so we checked out the next day (we were given this option by the staff, and only paid for the one night, which was much appreciated)

For our first time in Medellin, the Celestino Hotel was a great getaway. The perfect hidden gem.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The security guard was always visible, providing a safe experience. We loved the balcony views from the rooftop jacuzzi and bedroom. The house keeping was 10/10 very impressed. The decoration and vibe of the hotel was super cool.

We unfortunately were unable to take advantage of the spa. We wish there was more availability for last minute bookings. The food options in the bakery could be better.

The location of this place was great! Not only that but the staff was very accommodating, helpful, and professional. We loved our stay here. My boyfriend and I forgot our passports for a tour we did. We reached out to the front desk and within minutes they sent us a copy of them!

They were not lying when they said it was noisy but they do provide you with ear plugs and a white noise machine which made us forget about the commotion. There is a lot of construction right in front of the property which took away from it to be honest but they stop working some hours of the day so you could forget they're even there. That was our only thing!

Gorgeous boutique hotel in conviene location

The rooms were beautifully decorated, the staff was super helpful and kind, the bed was very comfortable, rooftop pool and bar were great.

As other reviewers mentioned, this location is awesome for proximity to everything but they are not kidding when they say this place is LOUD. We used the ear plugs and got used to it after night 2 but I would not recommend this place to super light sleepers. The soundproofing on the room is great and this is a comparatively quiet street as there is only one major club on it but the club is LOUD. The rooms are also pretty small. We were there for four nights and didn’t have a ton of space to unpack or organize the room.
